Park and Ride is typically favoured by travellers wanting the simplest and cheapest parking at Adelaide Airport. Park and Ride is simple as all you need to do is park at the location, and then take a complimentary shuttle bus to the airport. Similarly, when you are returning to Adelaide, you just take the shuttle back to the car park. This gives you the freedom of parking your car at a secure location, and the affordability of parking further away from the airport. As a shuttle is provided for you in a Park and Ride booking, the parking garages are located off-site to the airport. This means much lower parking rates but still convenient parking!
Another added benefit to booking Park and Ride parking is the extra services you can add on to your booking. Most parking providers offer an array of different car services, such as cleaning, detailing, waxing and repairing. Some even offer the option between indoor or outdoor parking, allowing you to customise your reservation to your liking. On the day of your booking and flight, you can drive to the car park. Once you have arrived you can park your car and take all your luggage. Then you can check in with the reception and wait for the shuttle bus. If you would like to add extra services to your booking, like cleaning or repairs, you can do so at the reception while you are waiting.
Once you have boarded the free shuttle bus you will be taken to the airport terminal. From there you can carry on to the check in and baggage kiosks. For your return to Adelaide Airport you follow a similar procedure. First you must call the parking provider and arrange for the shuttle bus to come and pick you up. We recommend making this call whilst waiting for your bags to arrive. Then, when you leave the airport you can board the shuttle and get safely taken back to the car park.
Finally, once the shuttle has dropped you off at the car park, you can take your car and continue on with your journey!
Despite Park and Ride being one type of parking, there are many different rates for it at Adelaide Airport. This is due to multiple factors. One is when and for how long you make the booking for. We highly recommend that you pre-book Park and Ride parking as this allows you to get the lowest rates, and have more options. Similarly, the daily rate for Park and Ride can change when you book for long term. Other general influences on cost are whether you park indoors or outdoors and with which provider.
